The speakers’ forum is scheduled to start on Monday in Juba to celebrate ‘diversity, managing conflict and enhancing the unity of South Sudan.’
Parliamentary Affairs Undersecretary Gabriel Gabriel Deng said the forum aims at offering speakers and ministers of parliamentary affairs from the ten states and national legislature an opportunity for a unified voice at all levels of government in circulating challenges facing the country.
He explained that the forum also aims at improving assemblies’ capacities for efficient and effective delivery on legislative and oversight functions.
Mr Deng said President Salva Kiir Mayardit and the former Botswana President Festus Mogae are expected to address the forum.
