Tombura County residents of Western Equatoria are getting clean water thanks to the efforts of a Christian charity.
World Vision South Sudan Communications and Public Relations Manager
Daniel Massamba Meboya said in a statement on Saturday that the charity handed over the Mamenze Water supply scheme to the community in Tambura East Boma.
The project supplies clean drinking water to almost 10,000 residents.
World Vision’s expansion of Mamenze water spring is an innovation that is unique in Western Equatoria.
The water is pumped from a well to an 70-metre high storage tank, using an integrated solar powered and diesel generated system as a source of energy.
