South Sudanese need to beak out of the cycle of violence.

National Healing and Reconciliation Committee Advisor John Ashworth told CRN on Friday that in order to break out of the cycle of violence South Sudanese need to heal each other and the nation by prayer.

He explained that to break out of cycle of violence South Sudanese have to start recognizing the problems of the past and their root causes, and start resolving them.

Mr Ashworth added that personal healing and transformation will positively affect the whole nation.

Mr Ashworth said the national Healing Committee is basing all its work on traditional African, Christian and Islamic spiritual values.

He said it is important to start the process with prayers so that all people are in the right spirit and position for healing and reconciliation.

Mr Ashworth called all people to gather for national healing and reconciliation prayers on July 8.

He added that prayers start on July 1 with different groups including the executive, judiciary, legislative members and women group.

National healing and reconciliation prayer in Juba will take place at Juba Football Stadium and each state will choose its centre.
