Greater Bahr Ghazal Students Association in Upper Nile University on Sunday elected new members to the executive office.
William Wol Malueth defeated his four rivals with 33.3 percent of the votes and became a new chairperson, Voice of Love reported.The electoral committee announced that the general assembly elected John Atem Paul as the Deputy Chairperson unopposed.
Former chairperson Mariel Malow told the new body to work hard in order to strengthen the association in the university.
He encouraged students not to forget their academic objectives which brought them to university.
Mr Malow apologised that his office did not conduct the welcoming ceremony to the new students due to financial constraints.
