Over 80 primary teachers on Thursday completed three-week in- service training at Rumbek National Teachers Training Institute.
The teachers were drawn from three Counties of Rumbek East, North, Central, Wulu and Cueibet, Good News Radio reported.Director General of Education in the State Kongor Deng Kongor told the graduates to take teaching seriously and be committed to transform their communities.
He advised the teachers to uphold their teaching professional ethics.
Mr Kongor said there were unhealthy relationships between teachers and female pupils which are obstacles to girls’ education in Lakes State.
He told the teachers to guide school girls and not to destroy them.
The next phase for teachers’ in-service training begins in August.
