Mvolo County Commissioner met the State Minister for Agriculture, Cooperatives and Environment to strengthen relationships between the two offices.

The State Director-General Marcello Constantino requested Mvolo County director Lawrence Kuruaku to consider casual workers to plant seedlings for sell to generate income, Anisa Radio reported.

The State Minister for Agriculture West Yugule Kayuku said the ministry plans to encourage all farmers in the counties to grown totheir favorite crops.
He urged the commissioners to be more creative to encourage cooperatives in the counties.
Mr Yugule said the iron stone plateau is good for planting peanuts, sorghum and cassava that can only be found in Nagero, Mvolo, and Mundri West.
He added that the green belt areas of Ezo, Yambio, Nzara, Maridi and Ibba counties can grow healthy maize.
