Two MIG jet fighters from the Sudan Armed Forces dropped three bombs near Chamri, in Kumbur Payam, Nuba Mountains, on Sunday.

An eyewitness said there were no casualties, but the attack created fear among the locals.

He suspected that the attack might have been called by some spies within the community since there is no any army presence in Chamri.

The attack took place at around 9:30 in the morning.

Khartoum has been bombarding civilian areas in the Nuba Mountains since June 2011, following the conflict with the SPLM-North over state election results.

Continuous aerial attacks have worsened the humanitarian situation in Nuba Mountains with massive displacement and famine.
