The Director of Administration and Finance in Central Equatoria Directorate of Water and Sanitation arrived at Morobo County Friday accompanied by two other officials to assess human resources at the County’s department of Water and Sanitation.
Welcoming the delegation, Morobo County Commissioner Moses Simon Soro said health and well-being relied on clean, safe drinking water, the county pressman told CRN via e-mail.Commissioner Soro added that most children die from diseases associated with inadequate water supply, poor sanitation, and a lack of hygiene which the department has to see into with great concern.
He said water scarcity, poor water quality, and inadequate sanitation negatively impact food security, education, health, and opportunities for families.
Team leader Atanesio Yokwe Pitia promised to work out the issues of the appointment and the upgrading of the current staff of the County.
He pointed out that human resources setup and office space were the major problems to be solved for the department to deliver services in an efficient manner.
