The Catholic Bishop of Yei on Easter Sunday urged people in the County to be peace loving by praying to God for peace in areas of confrontation and violence.

Erkolano Lodu Tombe said South Sudan prefers peace to war, Radio Easter reported.

He called on people to spread peace messages and be peacemakers because Jesus died to bring peace to all.

Bishop Lodu added that as peace lovers, people should contain conflict in South Sudan and pray for peace to return to the people affected by clashes in Jonglei and in other parts of the nation.

He explained that people should pray for conflict not to spread but be contained.

Bishop Lodu made the remarks in his Easter Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
