Four members of Council of States on Sunday treated Christians to a rib breaking laughter when they imposed self-censorship on political talks in the Church at St. Joseph’s Parish Narus, Kapoeta East County.

Michael Losike, who led the team of four lawmakers to Kapoeta East County Constituency, set the ground rule not to distract Christians from the celebration of Easter, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He said Christians should focus on the importance of East as a day of joy and happiness in their lives without political mix ups.

Mr Losike stated that politics should be talked in rallies and meetings other than in the Church, a place to honour and praise God.

Henry Dilang was another Member of the Council of States who agreed on the no political talks in church.

Mr Dilang greeted the Christians but also made a well guided speech on the upcoming Census 2014.

He called on citizens to be vigilant and mobilize one another saying the exercise was important to determine the number of people in the country for planning purposes.

The lawmakers agreed to meet with state leaders to talk politics after the Easter holiday.
