MINISTER EXPLAINS BREAK-IN AT PRESIDENT OFFICE

The Minister at the Office of the President told the press on Thursday in Juba that some money was stolen from the administrative block at the President Office complex but it was not six million Pounds.

Emmanuel Lowila explained that the administrative block shares the wall with the National Legislative Assembly and it is far from the President’s Office.

He added that thieves got away with 176,196 pounds and 14,000 US dollars.

Mr Lowila said the thieves broke into the office on Friday, March 15, through a whole they opened in the back of the accountants’ office, using a sledge hammer, two long screwdrivers and a bucket of water.

He said the incident did not put President Salva Kiir at any danger.

Mr Lowila said President Kiir sent his Easter greetings and called on all to build love for the nation.
