The national cabinet has approved the Law Review Commission to check the laws drafted during the war and the interim period and integrate them into the laws of the republic.

Acting Government spokesperson Madut Biar Yel told journalists after Friday’s ordinary Council of Ministers that the commission was appointed by a presidential decree.

He said the commission will work under the Ministry of Justice.

Mr Biar explained that the laws drafted after 2003 and in the interim period need to be adapted to match with the Republic of South Sudan.

The Cabinet also discussed the strategy plan for the Humanitarian Affairs ministry.
