The head of Gudele II Quarter Council, in Juba, said he survived an attempt on his life on Tuesday evening.
Francis Jackson told CRN over the phone that two young men on a motorbike tried to run him over while he was working at his sewing machine outside the house.He explained that the accident happened exactly at 2:00 o’clock.
Mr Jackson said he called the police but nobody picked the call.
He explained that the motorbike accident was an attempt on his life because the police refused to come and register it.
Mr Jackson explained that the boys sped towards him and ran over the chairs breaking everything.
He said he was not terribly hurt but he felt pain all over his body.
Mr Jackson explained that the police released the riders and wanted to take their motorbike from the site of the accident.
He said he did not allow the bike to go until the traffic police came and registered the accident.
