Diarrhea outbreak that led to the admission of four refugees is threatening the Congolese refugees in Morobo County of Central Equatoria state.
Morobo County Commissioner Moses Simon Soro told Radio Easter Monday that four people were admitted into Morobo Health Centre and that the situation is worsening. He added that over 600 people lack the support of humanitarian organizations to relocate to Panyume for safety.
Mr Soro reiterated that the refugees lack better heath services, food and clean drinking water.
He urged humanitarian aid organizations to intervene in order to rescue the situation of the refugees by relocating them from Rodo’ba to Panyume area.
Mr. Soro said refugees are willing to relocate to Panyume, but that no single humanitarian organization turned up to help.
He pointed out that security for the refugees and the people of Morobo County near the border is unsafe.
Mr Soro added that the County has allocated land for the refugees’ relocation in Panyume and demarcation is in progress.
