11 people were arrested in Tonj South County of Warrap State following the fighting between Tonj South and Tonj East County youths on Thursday.
Tonj South Police Commissioner Joseph Mayiei told Don Bosco FM that they have arrested eight raiders from Apuk-Juwir and three from Thony youth.He said they were still hunting for those who caused the problem of raiding cattle.
Mr Mayiei explained that 16 people from Apuk Juwir died and 24 were wounded while Thony community lost four people with 28 others wounded during the raid.
He also said the looted cattle were recovered by the police.
He urged all the cattle keepers to live in peace and unity to develop their country.
Thiet Payam Administrator Joseph Anei Madoor called for peace and reconciliation between Tonj East and Tonj South Counties.
He urged all people of Greater Tonj to live in peace because fighting destroys the country.
