The one-year old South Sudan Land Alliance organization advocating for land justice in the country is holding its first General Assembly in Juba to elect new national executive committee.
NPA Land and Resource Rights Adviser Jamus Joseph said the General Assembly is a welcomed development.He added that he expected the National Land Alliance to embark on serious business to fulfil the cause of its existence.
Mr Jamus explained that the Alliance was lucky to be composed of young and energetic members and that will achieve so much towards the realization of their goals.
45 participants representing the ten State Land Alliances and Abyei are expected to attend the meeting.
The Assembly will come up with concrete suggestions of activities that will be implemented in the coming year.
The Assembly started on Tuesday and concludes on Thursday in Juba.
