A guard who murdered a fuel station manager on Thursday night in Torit has committed suicide.
Mariko Loboi, an officer with the Fire Brigade assigned to guard HASS Petroleum Station, shot dead Kenyan manager Abdirahman Mohamed Bare, turning the gun on himself later.Torit County Police Crime Officer Adelio Oliha Olilir told Radio Emmanuel that neighbours called the security after realizing that Mr Loboi killed himself at home.
He said the suspect escaped arrest by hiding in the bush before he returned home to commit suicide.
Mr Oliha said the guard failed to remit a total 280 Pounds he was sent to collect from the Fire Brigade and used the money to get drunk.
The remains of late Loboi was laid to rest at Inkas, in Torit, on Friday evening while late Bare was flown to Kenya for burial.
