The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Monday joined the rest of the world in prayer to commemorate the World Day of the Sick.

Hospital and Prison Chaplain John Ochaya told Bakhita Radio that the event was a day dedicated to all the sick people in the world so that they were placed in the hands of Mother Mary.

Fr Ochaya said the sick people needed care.

He called upon the priests to pray for the sick and comfort them.

The Archdiocese of Juba organised a prayer meeting at Saint Joseph Parish in Juba for all sick people to be anointed.
