A number of traders in Rumbek Market have complained of low turn-up of customers.

Traders said after the inter-communal fighting last week in Rumbek, customers were turning up in lower numbers, Good News Radio reported.

Some said customers were afraid and felt unsafe in the market.

Others complained that before the conflict the turn-up was good, but now some traders stay the whole day without a single customer.

The traders called upon the state government to disarm the youth who are the cause of conflicts.

Some have appealed to the people of Lake State to stay in peace while others called on the government to arrest the culprits.

Rumbek main market was temporary closed last week after the inter-communal fight between the Kuei and Rup youths of Rumbek Central County.
