DEPUTY SPEAKER URGES MINISTRIES TO SPEED UP POLICY PRESENTATION

Eastern Equatoria state Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker has urged state ministries to present policy frameworks urgently to the Assembly.

Paul Napwon said the Assembly was waiting to deliberate on the policy frame works of the ministries and engage on other business of the House, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The deputy speaker made the call on Tuesday after the presentation of the Information and Telecommunication ministry policy statement.

He said presentation of policy statement strengthened the arms of the government to deliver services to the people.

Mr Napwon said the ministry of Information and Telecommunication had good plans to ensure that the system of network and radio were working efficiently and effectively.

He said government would look for possible ways to have basic need especially roads, school and health for people.

Eastern Equatoria state minister of information and telecommunications, Felix Otuduha Siro, cited inadequate skilled human resources and lack of transport as some of challenges facing the ministry.

He added that insufficient modern equipment, inadequate office space, lack of furniture, unqualified journalists and technicians were some factors affecting the ministry.
