The SPLM Extraordinary Convention will be attended by the delegates from the 2008 Second National Convention and the deceased elements will not be replaced.

SPLM Secretary General Anne Itto Leonardo told the press Wednesday in Juba that the extraordinary convention will focus on the party manifesto, constitution, code of conduct, and rules and regulations.

She said other issues will be discussed in the Third National Convention later in the year.

Dr Itto announced that only delegates who attended the Second National Convention will take part in the extraordinary Convention.

She added that independent candidates and late jipners will not be invited to the extraordinary convention.

Dr Itto revealed that the SPLM will not conduct elections to replace dead delegates and those who left the party.
