The Commissioner of Yei River County in Central Equatoria State has called on the state and the national governments to improve feeder roads to boost agricultural production in the County.

Juma David Augustine said there is high production of food crops such as maize, rice, sesame in his County this year.

He lamented that poor roads and transport have hindered access of agricultural products to the market centres in the County.
The Commissioner appealed to the state government and development partners to fconcentrate on agriculture to reduce overdependence from the neighbouring countries.
He made the call during the Commissioner’s forum, under the theme: “ideal decentralization system for effective development and prosperity”.
