Torit County Commissioner said security has been contained as hundreds of people celebrate Christmas in Torit.
William Oyet Omoro said they deployed security personnel to hot spots to ensure that the Christmas is celebrated in peace, Radio Emmanuel reported.Mr Oyet appealed for cooperation between the citizens and the police in order to achieve a total peace during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
He called upon the citizens to share their meals with the needy during the Christmas season.
No criminal case was reported as patrol police are along the streets of Torit town.
