Chiefs of Western Bahr El Ghazal State have condemned Wau recent violence urging communities to co-exist peacefully.
Kalfario (Fartit ) Chief Joseph Stephen Fougi, condemned the killing of innocent civilians at Fargalla, calling for thorough investigation.He said Fartit tribes have no problem with other tribes and that they are committed to Mabiel Peace Accord that prohibits violence and call for peaceful co-existence.
The Chief urged all stakeholders not to incite violence, but should instead call for calm.
Another Chief Santo Deng, a member of Greater Bahr el Ghazal Community Association described the incidents as sorrowful and that perpetrators must be brought to book.
Chief Deng said communities in Wau are very peaceful and have no problem with each other.
He added that government will take down the perpetrators behind this week violence and all other incidents.
Chief Deng appealed to all communities in the state to respect each other and maintain the rule of law and order.
Wau town has experience violence and chaos depicting tribal aspect and causing loss of lives and properties of innocent civilians.
