The Western Bahr El Ghazal State Government Spokesperson has said they are capable of controlling the situation in Wau.
Derrick Alfred Uya on Wednesday said the state Government is capable of bringing the current chaotic situation under control and ensure stability, Voice of Hope Radio reported.He appealed to citizens to contribute in restoring peace and stability ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Mr. Alfred said the law will punish everyone involved in the destruction of properties or lost of lives.
He called upon all citizens of Wau not to be driven by tribalism, urging them to refrain and respect laws and orders.
Mr. Alfred also called on the communities to co-exist peacefully.
On Wednesday, Wau residential areas have experienced looting and burning of houses resulting to lost of properties and lives in the State.
The situation became quite in the town after the state government imposed curfew in Wau town.
