Government of Eastern Equatoria state has condemned Human Rights abuse in the Country and the state manifested by the ongoing assassinations, attacks and other abuses.
The state deputy governor, Jerome Surur Gama was referring to the political assassinations in Juba, saying that such practices are not wanted in the state, Emmanuel Radio Reported.He made the comments on Monday while addressing citizens during International Human Rights Day at Freedom Square in Torit.
The deputy governor also discouraged the culture of killing, advising people to speak out their problems to avoid committing suicide and harming others.
State Minister for Culture and Social Development, Patrick Lodinga called on the people to respect human rights and desist from taking the lives of other people because of social differences and disagreements.
Lodinga also called on the people to respect the rights of women.
