Lakes State Ministry of Health has issued an order to all private clinics and pharmacies in the state to register with the ministry.
The director for Curative and Pharmaceutical Service in Lakes state Micheal Luth Ater on Tuesday said the minister of health has noted that many clinics, pharmacies and medical personnel are unqualified, Good News Radio reported.He disclosed that a lot of mismanagement of drugs wrong treatment of patients is happening in the town.
Mr Luth said the ministry of health is keen to see that those operating in drug business are qualified medical personnel for the benefit of the community.
He said the ministry had early issued license to the medical personal operating in clinics and that the medical personnel are now operating beyond their limitation.
Mr. Luth further argued the public to go to the hospital for better treatment and seek qualified medical personnel in private medical centres in the States.
Luth Ater advised members of the public to stop buying drugs without prescription from the medical personnel.
There are various private drug stores and clinics in Rumbek town providing treatment and drugs to the general population in the state.
