The National Constitutional Review Commission is planning to conduct a nationwide civic education on the Transitional Constitution.
Chairperson of the Commission Akonda Maan Tier told reporters in Juba that the Commission will start the civic education immediately after Christmas. He said the Constitution requires sharing ideas with the public because the Commission wants some views from the public.
Justice Tier said the Commission will cover the ten states of South Sudan so that everybody understands what is in the constitution.
Mr Tier said the Commission was unable to conduct its activities in the states because there was no budget.
He said the Commission has just received its budget in July for its activities.
Mr Tier lamented that the Commission was also lacking premises but that the Judiciary of South Sudan has offered a house that will accommodates the whole staff.
The house offered by the Judiciary is undergoing renovation, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
