Polio campaign that was supposed to start earlier this week finally began on Friday in Tonj South County.
Bona Bol said the campaign was delayed because of vaccine refrigeration problem.He said vaccinators started in Tonj Town and will go to the surrounding Payams over the next four days.
Mr. Bol urged all parents and guardians of children less than five years to ensure that their children are vaccinated.
He told parents and guardians that the vaccine is not harmful to the children and advise them not to fear getting the vaccine for their children.
Mr. Bol added that the polio campaign will continue next year in the months of February, March, November and December because it is a routine immunization.
Mr. Bol called on all parents to cooperate with vaccinators to get their children vaccinated in the next four days.
