Morobo County Commissioner told the County head of Social Development Department to identify and register the exact number of orphans in the County.
The order came after women’s groups said some women were facing difficulties in caring for orphans in the County, Press Secretary Data Moses Ludoru told CRN via e-mail.Commissioner Moses Simon Soro said the registration should be done payam by payam in the whole County for people to get the help they deserve from Government, NGOs and any well-wishers.
Acting Commissioner for Social Development Samuel Juma said more than 250 orphans were already identified.
He added that their relatives were caring for them.
Most of them were out of school due to the difficulties faced by their guardians or relatives.
