Torit County Commissioner has told law enforcement agents to take measures against those breaking a ban on shisha smoking.
William Oyet Omoro issued an ultimatum to stop shisha smoking joints in Torit until last Sunday, Emmanuel Radio reported.Traders kept their shisha businesses open, prompting the commissioner to call on law enforcement agents to take action.
Mr Oyet said the grace period expired and those running shisha joints were breaking the law and should be dealt with accordingly.
The ban on shisha smoking followed concerns raised by the state security committee linking the activity to insecurity, health issues and idleness.
