The Bureau confiscated on Friday 4000 kilograms of expired sweets, 600 cartoons of beer and stock of expired nutritious food on Tuesday from World Concern International organization.

The Bureau Acting Director, Francis Ibrahim Patricio, told Voice of Hope that they seized the expired food after some pupils have eaten some of them in Wau.

He explained that traders use to stock these items in anticipation of any shortage so that they sell at higher prices.

World Concern Assistant Operation Manager in Wau, Andrea Daniel said the expired food items were in their store waiting for disposal when the Bureau operation intercepted it.

The organization denied having given any expired food to pupils but justified that the expired food was stolen from their store.
