South Sudanese returnees travelling from Khartoum to Rumbek were delayed in Tonj South County on Monday.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Secretary, Gordon Makuek Tiar told Don Bosco Radio that 50 returnees were delayed by unknown armed men on Tonj-Cuiebet road.
The 50 returnees were made to spend a night in Tonj while the security forces tried to secure the road for their safe travel.
Mr. Tiar said the police will escort the returnees from Tonj to Malopac then to Cuiebet and finally to Rumbek.
The returnees are anxious to return to their original home lands after many years stay in Sudan
