TONJ RECEIVES NINE OSTRICHES

Tonj received nine ostriches coming from the side of Thony payam of Tonj South County in Warrap state.

Tonj South Wildlife officer John Akok Abiel told Don Bosco FM that three ostriches were adults and six young.

He said the ostriches’ arrival marked the beginning of wildlife development in the county.

Mr Akok appealed to the residents to stop killing wild animals and take good care of wildlife to promote local tourism.

He said wild animals were coming back but youth were hunting them down.

Mr Akok informed that the department of wildlife took steps to make sure that animals are secure and safe.
