A Nuba Mountains human rights group has condemned an aerial attack by the Sudan Air Force on Thursday over Heiban County.
The attack targeted civilians attending the weekly market in Heiban, killing one woman and injuring six people.Heiban County Human Rights leader Rashid Adam Anur said the group condemned the aerial bombardment in the village of Ngadoro, near Heiban town.
He added that the incident created fear and insecurity among civilians.
Mr Adam reported that a number of houses, livestock and farms were destroyed by five bombs dropped from an Antonov aircraft.
He described the situation as catastrophic.
Mr Adam called on international organizations, including Amnesty International, to take up the cases of human rights abuses and targeting civilians in Nuba Mountains.
