The headmaster of Juba Technical School has asked the government to exert more efforts to improve the standard of technical education in South Sudan because it fuels quick development.
Samuel Koyoma Amuzai told Bakhita Radio that South Sudan needs people formed in new technologies to achieve highly needed development.He said China and South Korea invested heavily in technical schools and now are highly developed countries.
Mr Koyoma said Juba Technical School was greatly improved in terms of workshops, library and computer labs.
He added that the school needs a fence to keep robbers at bay and a lorry or another proper means of transport.
Mr Koyoma said teachers need refresher courses to keep pace with even changing technologies.
He was speaking at the formation of new executive for the Board of Governors.
Juba Technical School is the only establishment of its kind in Central Equatoria.
