All women have a role to play in peace building within the family and at community level.
Cleonice Salvadeo, who works with the Voice of Women for Peace and Faith in South Sudan, met in Rumbek some women leaders from the Catholic diocese ahead of a workshop on the role of women in peace building in mid November.She told Good News Radio that women are guardians of life and peace and they should believe in their potentials and remain united to take advantage of the power in their hands to promote peace in Lakes State.
The Comboni Missionary Sister said women played a very important role in the family and should extend that role to the community.
Sr. Cleonice Salvadeo said peace was the blueprint of the new nation and women played an instrumental role and had a particular power and mission to become builders of peace.
The Voice of Women for Peace and Faith is conducting workshops on peace building across the ten States of South Sudan, capacitating women to pray and work for peace.
