Nuba Mountains education authorities announced the opening of schools on October 1.
The announcement follows last week’s education ministry workshop to outline strategies for education in Nuba Mountains region.Kumbur Payam Education Supervisor Jargi Kumir Papa said the community should be more involved in managing education.
Mr Kumir called on teachers to return to Nuba Mountains and resume teaching for the good of pupils and the future of the region.
Kumbur education supervisor said the community has to support schools by providing food for the teachers and other necessary help.
