Moderation is the secret for a healthy and long life together with genetic heritage.
This is the view of Valentino Fabris, an Italian Comboni Missionary who completed today 90 years of age.Br Valentino told CRN that the good genes from his family together with moderation in food and work were the key for his long and healthy life.
He said he always loved working with the people instead of killing himself in order to make a name.
Br Valentino arrived in the Sudan just before Christmas of 1948 and has been in the country ever since except for seven years of work in the formation of young brothers in Italy.
He said during these 57 years he tried to help people to have a better life and develop the country by teaching basic skills.
He added that he wanted to develop everybody, especially girls, and help them to live together.
Br Valentino said what makes him suffer is to see people hungry in a land of plenty like South Sudan.
He remarked that the independence of South Sudan was necessary and there was no other way out to keep the peace between the two countries.
