UK DEFENCE ATTACHƒ ARRIVES IN JUBA

The first British Defence Attach√Ö¬Ω to the Republic of South Sudan has arrived in Juba to work closely with the national army.

British Ambassador to South Sudan, Alastair McPhail, welcomed Wing Commander Shaun Ryles.

Dr McPhail said Mr Ryles’ appointment that confirms the UK’s strong support for defence and security development in South Sudan, the British embassy in Juba said in a press release.

Mr Ryles will work closely with both the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and the SPLA.
