The youth needs to pursue unity in the church and in society to be able to reach its goals.
This is the view the Youth Coordinator in the Catholic Diocese of Wau, Romano Louis Mangu, shared with the participants at a workshop on leadership and unity, Voice of Hope reported. He said young people needed to be enlightened about the value of unity and their life in the community to realize their dreams.
Fr Louis explained that instead of labelling the youth as problematic, adults should help and guide them in taking decisions that are helpful for their lives as well as for the communities where they live.
The Youth coordinator called on the communities to support the youth to find meaning for their lives.
He said young people are a true gift from God for both the society and Church.
Fr Louis encouraged the youth not to shy out in matters that concerns them.
He made these statements during a diocesan youth workshop that started Friday morning at PALICA Centre in Wau.
About 20 representatives from over ten parishes in the Catholic diocese of Wau participated in the event that ended today.
