South Sudan Catholic Intellectuals Movement (SSCIM) this morning held a forum to discuss issues and ways to create and build peace in South Sudanese communities.
James Elia Tiberious, provisional President of SSCIM said the movement was meeting to enlighten the members on advocacy and networking for peace in order to raise awareness among the Catholic intellectuals and professionals.He added that the meeting was about their obligations and rights to work for peace among the communities and societies of South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
Mr Tiberious said members of the movement have a big role to create peace in the South Sudanese society.
Mr Tiberious thanked the participants and that meeting is the first of its kind since the foundation of the movement.
The workshop that was facilitated by Isaac Kenyi and Fr. Romeo Todo brought together more than 25 participants from all the parishes of the catholic Archdiocese of Juba.
