The SPLM has condemned a new wave of attacks on South Sudan by the Sudan Armed Forces between May 25 and 27.

SPLM Secretary for Information, Culture and Communication, Bol Makueng, wrote in a press release that the Sudanese air force supported by ground troops carried out indiscriminate attacks on civil populations in Western Bahr El Ghazal, Northern Bahr El Ghazal and Unity states.

Mr. Makueng said the raids took place in Majak Woi, Warlang, Rum Aker and Wargwet areas in Northern Bahr El Ghazal killing at least one woman.

He added that the SPLM condemned the barbaric attacks and called on the international community to join in condemning Khartoum.

Mr Makueng regretted that such attacks happened when the two countries left for Addis Ababa to negotiate over post independent issues.
