A truck belonging to a construction company overturned in the Tonj-Rumbek road, leaving one dead and 15 seriously injured.
Wanyak Hussein told Don Bosco FM that the truck, belonging to Juba-based Miraj Company, was travelling from Juba to Aweil when it suddenly overturned.Mr Hussein urged the company to send immediately some aid so that the victims can get proper treatment.
Abraham Magok, a policeman from the Operation Unit, said the accident occurred due to high speed.
Apparently the driver was trying to catch up with other vehicles that were ahead of him.
Mr Magok stated that driver, a man from Darfur, was neither drunk nor upset.
He was the only person who did not suffer any injuries.
This was the fourth time that a big road accident occurred in Tonj South County since January.
