Leaders of the SPLM-North in Nuba Mountains have to review critically their strategies in the face of what seems to be serious attacks against civilians.

The call comes after an attack at about 5:00 AM of Thursday against Tuso, Heiban County, by a non-military force of 40 people.

The attack raised some questions whether civilians are fighting a common cause with the SPLA-North or for personal gain.

The incident has raised angry questions among the soldiers and the public blaming the use of non-military soldiers in their strategies to topple the central government.

Conflict erupted in South Kordofan after gubernatorial elections that crowned NCP leader Ahamed Haron as state governor.

The Khartoum government started the war in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, with the aim of disarming SPLA-North forces in the area.
