Thirteen South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) secretaries were called for an important in Malakal on Thursday after irregularities that took place last month during food distribution across Upper Nile State.
Speaking to Naath FM SSRRC Chair Person Duer Tut Duer says he ordered the State Director Peter Pal Choul to summon all secretaries in regard to proper food distribution.WFP and other partners are being asked to distribute food directly to the population instead of giving the bags of sorghum to chiefs.
Mr Duer is denying allegations that the food will only be distributed once he is back.
He says the food is for people Ð adding there is no way the food distribution should wait for his return to the State.
