About 50 elders and heads of different mother tongue language groups in the state attended this training.
The representative of the National Minister of General Education and Instruction, Angelo Machar, said the government of South Sudan is much committed to implement the use of mother tongue as a mean of instruction from primary one to primary three.
He said the use of the mother tongue will act as a foundation stone and that a literate person is illiterate if he or she does not now a mother tongue.
Mr. Machar advised the parents, especially those living in the towns, to emphasize the usage of mother tongue at homes.Ê The training will focus on Zande, Dinka, Ndogo, Kresh, Gollo Sere, Balanda as well as Yulu Languages.
