The commissioner of Manyo County in Upper Nile State said the Sudanese army is moving its forces towards his area.

Al Taeb Ajang Okic said in a press release on Thursday afternoon that Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and militias loyal to Khartoum are moving towards Upper Nile State, Voice of Love reported.

He said SAF troops entered the territory of South Sudan at Yoyi, East Kaka, on Tuesday.

Mr Ajang said he is concerned about the insecurity that might take place in his county if SAF continues moving its troops along the border.

He added that six Sudanese warplanes were patrolling over Wadakona last week.

Mr Ajang said the South Sudanese army is already in Manyo County ready to defend the civilians against any attacks and to secure South Sudan’s territory by all means.
