Refugees from Sudan staying in Jammam camp are experiencing serious problems due to lack of potable water in that area of Upper Nile State.
The UN says that humanitarian organizations assisting refugees at Jammam are concerned about the lack of potable of water in the area. The humanitarian agencies are trying to identify an alternative site to relocate the camp.
Currently, refugees are getting water with the help of 14 trucks and a further five water tankers should arrive in Jammam soon.
Water committees, meant to sensitize refugees on how to manage the water situation, have also been established to avoid potential conflicts at water sources.
