SPLA WARNS SAF ON CONTINUED BOMBING OF SOUTH SUDAN

South Sudan Armed Forces have warned Sudan Armed Forces to stop their continued bombings and incursions into the territories of South Sudan.

Army spokesperson Colonel Philip Aguer said the SPLA has the mission to defend South Sudan from any foreign incursion rather than attacking foreign forces and provide a peaceful environment for the civil population.

He called on the Sudanese Army to stop bombing the people and territories in the border areas of South Sudan and its policy of occupation.

Col. Aguer revealed that Sudan Air force carried out 60 air raids during March at the rate of two bombardments per day.

He said MiG 29 and 23 jetfighters and Antonov bombers were used in the air attacks.

The recent border clashes have increase tension between the two states.
